When is it a good fit?

Your training course starts next week and attendees need handouts they can hold.
You want to pack a printed manual with the device you sell.
You're preparing a conference programme with a map and a list of speakers.

How to choose

Decide in this order.

Page count
A brochure grows in steps of 4 pages, from 8 to 48. The total must divide by 4, so plan your layout around that rule. Up to 48 pages, staples hold everything together with no trouble.
Size
A5 is easy to hold and fits in a bag. A4 gives room for tables and diagrams. The Classic version also offers landscape layouts and 15×15 cm, while Economy comes in A5 and A4 only.
Cover and inner pages
In the Classic version the cover can be 135, 170, 250 or 350 gsm coated paper, and the inner pages 135 or 170 gsm. A thick cover gives the brochure a catalogue feel, a thin one is fine for a manual. One pairing is unavailable: a 135 gsm cover with 170 gsm inner pages.
Classic or Economy
Economy uses 80 gsm uncoated paper for both cover and inner pages, and it's faster and cheaper. The printable area is about 1 cm smaller than the page, because we don't print to bleed. Classic carries the artwork right to the edge.

Print files

Send one PDF with the pages in reading order, without imposition. For Classic add a 3 mm bleed, for Economy keep a margin of about 1 cm from the edge. Save it in CMYK and we'll check the file before printing.

FAQ

I have 18 pages. What now?

The page count has to be a multiple of 4, so add a notes page or trim it to 16. Brochures start at 8 pages.

How is the brochure bound?

With saddle stitching, which means staples along the spine. The Economy version has two staples.

Can I laminate the cover?

No, neither line offers finishes. If durability matters to you, choose a thicker coated cover.

How fast will I get my print?

Classic takes 4–5 working days and Economy 2–3 working days from file approval. Express takes 1–2 days with a 30% surcharge, for orders placed by 1 pm.

Is it printed in colour on both sides?

Yes, we print every page in full colour, on both sides of the sheet.
