When is it a good fit?

The lunch special changes daily, so you need a low-cost menu carrier that goes in the bin after the meal.
You want guests to scan a QR code for the full menu before the waiter reaches the table.
In a canteen or diner, every place setting should look clean and marked the same way.

How to choose

Decide in this order.

Placemat size
A3 (297×420 mm) covers the whole place for one person, while 300×300 mm suits small tables better. Measure the table with a plate and cutlery before you choose.
Paper and stiffness
80 gsm and 120 gsm uncoated paper feels like printer paper, good for a single-use daily menu. 135 gsm coated paper has a smoother surface and shows food photos better.
One side or two
Single-sided 4/0 printing is enough when the menu is all that matters. Double-sided 4/4 lets you add a map, house rules or a kids' game on the back.
Eco line
Kraftliner, Kazan with added grass and Flora have a natural texture and colour. They suit slow food venues and specialty cafés, though production takes longer.
Lamination
This product has no lamination. The placemat is meant for short use, not for washing.

Print files

Prepare a CMYK PDF with a 3 mm bleed. Once you've chosen A3 or 300×300 mm, set exactly that document size. If you add a QR code, make it fairly large and test scanning from a printout. We'll review the file before printing.

FAQ

How many do I have to order?

The minimum is 50 pieces, and above that you can choose any quantity. Steps in the configurator include 100, 500 and 1,000.

How fast will I get my placemats?

Classic line: 1–2 working days from file approval, for orders placed by 1 pm. Eco line: 4–5 working days.

Is there an express version?

Yes, with a 30% surcharge. Classic placemats then ship in 0–1 working days, Eco in 2–3 working days.

Will the placemat survive spilled juice?

It's plain paper without lamination, so no. Treat it as single-use and replace it after every guest.

I don't have a design. What now?

You can order a basic design service, or a file check by a designer with a digital proof to approve.
