When is it a good fit?

The wedding is six weeks away, the seating plan is done and only the name cards are missing.
A company is hosting a gala and wants every guest to find their chair straight away.
A family First Communion lunch should run smoothly, without a scramble for seats.

How to choose

Decide in this order.

Printed names or handwritten
With personalisation, each place card gets a different name from your list. Without it, you print one design and write the names in by hand. At a big wedding, personalisation saves you an evening of calligraphy.
Paper
350 gsm coated paper, DCP Satyna 300 gsm and Invercote Creato 300 gsm are stiff and stand up on their own once folded. Satyna has a gentle sheen, Creato a more natural look.
Lamination
Gloss, matt or soft-touch, on one or both sides. Lamination guards against fingerprints but makes writing names in ink harder. If you're writing by hand, take the unlaminated version.
Rustic style
Rustic, boho and slow weddings love paper in a kraft shade. The Eco line has Kraftliner, Kazan with added grass and Flora in several colours.
Quantity
Count your guests and add a few spares for typos in names and late RSVPs.

Print files

The place card is folded, so your design has to allow for the crease line where it bends. Use the template from the configurator (CDR, TIFF, PDF). Requirements: CMYK, text converted to outlines, 3 mm bleed. Printing is single-sided only, so set the text on the front half.

You upload the file at the print shop after “Go to checkout”.
